Ben Wheeler

Senior Planner

Ben has worked on a wide range of projects including solar farms, battery energy storage, purpose-built student accommodation, and strategic planning and sustainability. He has gained experience in early stage appraisals, preparation of planning applications, advising clients on strategy, project management, community engagement, minor amendment applications and discharging planning conditions.

EXPERTISE

He is currently working towards chartered status. He previously attended King’s College London where he earned a distinction and was awarded the Best Thesis award in the MSc in Sustainable Cities programme.

Projects Ben has worked on include: Ash Grove PBSA in Guildford, West of Ifield Sustainability Strategy in Crawley and Horsham, Three Bridges Solar Farm in Breckland, Rolleston Solar Farm in in East Staffordshire, Crowthorne Care Home in Wokingham.

The landmark building is located within the Watford Gateway Strategic Development Area, close to Watford Junction railway station. Members unanimously voted to approve TRP's planning application, subject to signing a s106 agreement
