The inspiration for Third Revolution comes from a desire to understand technological, economic, social and environmental drivers of change, how they interact with revolutions in how people live, work and travel, and the implications for the way we plan places and infrastructure. The business was born out of Managing Director, Robert Shaw's, many and varied experiences and the visionary thinking of many others. The name Third Revolution is inspired by author Jeremy Rifkin’s book The Third Industrial Revolution.
